Chopper Searching Area for Lakeview Burglar

Did you hear the helicopter circling over Malverne, Lakeview and Rockville Centre Tuesday morning?

Police are searching for the perpetrator responsible for a burglary that occurred in Lakeview at a home on Whitestar Avenue.

Security at Malverne public schools was "heightened" but there was no lockdown, according to Spiro Colaitis, assistant superintendent for district operations, who was told by authorities that the incident was considered "minor" and the suspect was "unarmed."
