Cops: 2 Teens Rob Another in Front of Home

Five Towns teens take cell phone and flee in Inwood, cops said.

Two Five Towns teens face robbery charges after they allegedly took another teen’s cell phone and stole from a friend’s house, according to Nassau County Police.

A 17-year-old male was standing in front of his house on Church Street in Inwood when he was approached by Oskar Puk, 16, of Inwood, and Joshua Mackay-Smith, 16, of Hewlett, cops said. The two then demanded the victim hand over cash and his cell phone, police said. Mackay-Smith grabbed the victim’s cell phone and the two fled the scene, detectives reported.

The victim called the police immediately and gave a description of the two. Mackay-Smith was found shortly after on Stanley Street and was arrested, cops said. Puk was found shortly after on Stanley Street and arrested, police reported.

The incident happened at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Puk and Mackay-Smith had also stolen items from a 19-year-old’s home after he invited them to spend the night, cops said.

Mackay-Smith was charged three days earlier for stealing from cars.

Puk and Mackay-Smith were charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny. They were arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Instead of a free college degree how about having them learn to clean up some of the messes in the five towns....like sweeping the debris from the streets and parking lots.....taking care of pot holes.....STOP CODDLING......maybe they will learn how to become law abiding citizens if they have to bust their butts instead doing NOTHING
