Cops: Armed Men with Fake Beards Rob Radio Shack
Nassau Police searching for three culprits in West Hempstead holdup.
A West Hempstead store was held up at gunpoint by men in elaborate disguises, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said three men walked into Radio Shack on Hempstead Turnpike with a gun and tied up two male employees in a storage room. The men then took an assortment of electronics and fled the scene.
The employees weren't harmed in the robbery, which took place at 6:55 p.m. Sunday.

The first subject was described as a black man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, in his mid-20s, and was wearing a purple or pink dress, cargo shorts, a blonde wig, sunglasses, and fisherman hat, and old sneakers.
The second subject was described as a black man, was 20-30 years old, wearing a fisherman hat, sunglasses, a fake black beard, gray hooded sweatshirt, and old sneakers.

The third was described as a black man, 20-30 years old, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, fake black beards, sunglasses, fisherman hat, and blue jeans.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
