Two people were caught with 60 stolen credit cards after trying to use one of them at an East Garden City restaurant, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said Jacques Joseph, 30, of Elmont, and Shantelle Walker, 30, of Florida, were caught by restaurant staff trying to use a fraudulent credit card at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Cops responded to the Old Country Road eatery at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday when a manager called 911 to report the use of a fraudulent card. Responding officers were told the two had just left in a white Mercedes and were driving on Ring Road.

When officers stopped the car, they saw the two hiding about 60 stolen credit cards under the floor mats, cops said. They were also found with a pair of apparently stolen sneakers, police reported.

The two were arrested at the scene without any incident or injury.

Joseph was charged with 10 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Walker was charged with 20 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Both will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.

But -- we never really know what ultimately happens, and I'd like to know. For instance, the young girl, Catherine Brady who was found dead in Hempstead Lake wooded area after being missing for one month. It was a ME case, but we never read anything. Should we ask? And then the young girl in the Merrick Road footpath crossover in Lynbrook/RVC, murdered--but we never heard anything further on the this. I'd be very curious to know the outcome of this charming couple.

Agree with Paul about Nassau county becoming another borough of NYC.Ive lived in Levittown for 40 years and it's slowly deteriorating along with other Nassau communities. The undesirables that are infiltrating is sickening.Door to door soliciting by low lifes, crime is up,going to Walmart in East Meadow is like going to a third world country.Women risk their lives walking to their car and Nassua is filled with scammers and thieves like the two in the above article.
