Police are searching for a man who robbed a Carle Place store at gunpoint and handcuffed a store manager.

Nassau County Police said a man entered Life Uniforms on Old Country Road in Carle Place, pointed a black handgun at the manager, and demanded that she open the register. The store manager cooperated and the subject placed an unknown amount of cash into a blue pillowcase, police reported.

The man then opened the store manager’s pocketboot and took her wallet, containing credit cards and personal papers, before forcing her into the store’s back room, cops said. The man then handcuffed her, took her engagement ring and wedding band, and fled through the back door, police reported.

The incident happened at 10:25 a.m. Monday.

The subject is described as a black male in his 30s, medium build, and was wearing a navy blue hoodie, tan pants, white sneakers, and a black ski mask at the time.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

He's lucky he didn't do that to the police uniform store in carle place. Officers from every police department go in there. More and more losers here on Ling Island.
