Cops Nab Teen in Lakeview Burglaries
Nassau County Police arrest Syosset man Thursday afternoon who they say was involved in five burglaries in Lakeview.
Cops nabbed a Syosset teen who they say is responsible for a string of burglaries in the Lakeview community.
Nassau County Police arrested James Wells-Jones, 16, of Syosset, Thursday afternoon in Lakeview. According to detectives, Wells-Jones had some accomplices. He was consorting with three others, who have not yet been arrested, when he allegedly entered a home on Orlando Avenue by forcing open a side bathroom window.
Once inside, police say the four subjects took a T.V. and iPod and then left the home. When confronted by a witness outside the house, they put the T.V. down and fled on foot.

A description of the subjects was broadcasted out to police who were able to locate and arrest Wells-Jones on the corner of Glenn Road and Coventry Road N. in Lakeview a short time later. The stolen iPod was found in his pocket.
An investigation later revealed to detectives that Wells-Jones was allegedly involved in four additional burglaries in Lakeview from as far back as Sept. 30. Wells-Jones is being charged with five counts of Burglary 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
