Cops: Pentagram Painted on Church

Bias crime is being investigated by police, witnesses asked to come forward, cops said.

Detectives are searching for the culprit in a bias crime nearby, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said that a three-foot-wide green pentagram was painted on the entrance door to Bethel Assembly of God in Franklin Square. A senior pastor discovered the graffiti at the Courthouse Road Sunday morning, police said.

The graffiti was likely painted between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, detectives said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
