Cops: Lynbrook Teen ID'ed as Woman Found Dead in RVC

Body found on footbridge between Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway on the Lynbrook border, police confirm.

Police have identified a Lynbrook woman found dead in Rockville Centre Thursday night, according to Nassau County Police.

The body of Lauren Daverin, 18, of Lynbrook, was discovered at about 10 p.m. Thursday on the footbridge between Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway, cops confirmed. 

Daverin was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 10:15 p.m. and was transported to the Nassau County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death, police reported.

The footbridge where she was found extends over Merrick Road and runs near Mill River Complex Park.

A Facebook page "RIP Lauren Daverin" was created Friday afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing and cause of death hasn't been determined, police said. 

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
