Over the past 20 years or so these footbridges here as well as those over Peninsula Blvd have been neglected are filthy grifitti laden as is Rockville Centre everywhere. The roads too suck. Anyone been near the perimeter of Smiths pond near Ocean and Peninsula? Who knows there could be dead bodies in there is so filthy and over grown? I guess we dont pay enough taxes??????/

What a horrible tragedy....Mill pond?? Wasnt there a stabbing/murder there recent..Maybe another park...But why was this girl alone and not with a friend...I hope to see a resolution, not that it would help family members go through something no one should

Think about this, every Malverne cop is on Ocean ave giving speeding tickets to working people doing 35mph in a 30 zone. The Lynbrook cops are parked at the Capri motor lodge looking to lock up the hookers and jons. The RVC cops are keeping their distance from the public housing section of RVC.... so. who is left to police that section?

The cops arrested someone the next day, I say that's pretty good police work.
