A Levittown woman was thrown to the ground and robbed of her purse in her own driveway early Wednesday morning, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said the 24-year-old victim had just parked her car and gotten out in her Crest Lane driveway when a man approached her. He threw the victim to the ground, grabbed her pocketbook containing a license and cash, and fled west on Crest Lane, police reported.

Cops said the robbery happened at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The woman suffered a cut to her elbow but declined medical assistance at the scene.

The subject is described as a white man, about 20 years old, and had dark, shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a dark short-sleeved t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

I sincerely hope this 24 year old victim was not injured. However, I'm sure she was traumatized! I happen to agree with Terry & that RVC guy. While Narcan might benefit 14,15,16, & 17 year olds who succumb to peer pressure & try narcotics for the first time, I'm willing to bet that most of the time it's the addicts that get it most often.

I hope this is not a trend, especially with the news talking about housing illegals here on LI, who can police all these people.

Illegals, the word itself says so much! Why does our Country insist on housing these people. Children or adults. Our Country can't care for our own properly!!!! Send them back they are "illegals". Plus, to many diseases we conquered are returning....why? Illegals aren't immunized and here we go. USA must start closing door, borders etc.
