Crash Sends Car Thru Malverne H.S. Fence

At least two injured in accident Thursday morning.

A car and a street sweeper crashed through the fences to and a local sports field in Lynbrook Thursday morning.

The Lynbrook Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene of the multiple vehicle accident on Lakeview Avenue near Ocean Avenue on June 2. The collision sent a car through a fence of the Malverne High School, while a town street sweeper crashed into the fence of a Lynbrook soccer field across the street.

At least two people had to be transported to the hospital and police were conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
