Crime Report: $8,700 in NY Lottery Tickets Stolen

The following is the weekly village crime report, submitted by the Lynbrook Police Department. All information is courtesy of the Lynbrook police.

Case Reports

• Between the hours of 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 28, a pocketbook, valued at $100, containing $300, sunglasses, and a wallet, valued at $500, was reported stolen from a 1997 Audi parked at the Lynbrook Post Office.
• Between the hours of 9:45 p.m. on March 2 and 6:10 a.m. on March 3, Lynbrook Quick Stop on Merrick Road in Lynbrook was burglarized. N.Y. Lottery instant scratch-off games, valued at approximately $8,700, were reported stolen.

Arrests

• On March 1 at 11:40 p.m., Justin Kelley, 23, of East Rockaway, N.Y., was arrested on Ella Street in Lynbrook and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
• On March 1 at 11:40 p.m., Joseph Cook, 22, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested on an open arrest warrant on Ella Street in Lynbrook and also charged with Attempted Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
• On March 2 at 8:20 p.m., Justin Jesse Paruch, 33, of Rockville Centre, N.Y., was arrested on Howard Place in Lynbrook and charged with DWI.
• On March 4, Quan Starks, 40, of Baldwin, N.Y., was arrested on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook on an open arrest warrant for Criminal Possession of a Weapon from Nassau County First District Court.
• On March 4 at 8:30 p.m., Ronald Garay, 36, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested on Ocean Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
• On March 5 at 4 a.m., Thakoor Jaikaran, 32, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested on Davison Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with Assault in the third degree.
• On March 5 at 10:33 p.m., Jean Coriolan, 34, of Elmont, N.Y., was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
• On March 7 at 12:05 a.m., Shanifa Foreman, 27, of Valley Stream, N.Y., was arrested on Broadway in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
