Crime Report: Graffiti, Identity Theft Reported

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

• On June 1 at 4:05 p.m., John Colin, 18, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief, Making Graffiti and Possession of a Graffiti Instrument. The alleged crimes occurred on the Greis Park Exercise Trail and Bike Path in Lynbrook, police said.
• On June 2 at 6:53 p.m., Leonardo Gonzalez, 21, of Long Beach, N.Y., was arrested and charged with Assault. The alleged crime occurred at a residence on Broadway in Lynbrook, police said.
• On June 5 at 9 a.m., Gladys Meredith, 38, of Uniondale, N.Y., was arrested on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with DWI.

Case Reports

• On June 1, a Lynbrook resident reported that $1,872.45 was taken from his checking account through various transactions by use of his debit card number.
• Between the hours of 5:25 p.m. and 10:36 p.m. on June 3, a 2009 Subaru parked on Carpenter Avenue in Lynbrook was stuck by three metal projectiles, causing $1,800 in damage.
