Crime Report, Pt. II: Shoplifting Arrests, Car Break-In

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Valley Stream

On Dec. 2 at 7 a.m., an unknown person(s) broke into a vehicle and took coins on Garland Lane. 

- On Nov. 27 at 9:20 p.m., two individuals from Brooklyn were arrested for shoplifting at Kohls on Green Acres Rd. 

- Sometime between 7 p.m. ad 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 27, an unknown person(s) caused damage to a vehicle at the Green Acres Mall. 

- On Nov. 29 at 1:17 p.m., an individual from Jamaica, NY was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart on Green Acres Rd. 

- On Nov. 30 at 2:50 p.m. an individual Cambria Heights was arrested for shoplifting at Sears on Green Acres Rd. 

- Sometime between 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 1, an unknown person(s) caused damage to a vehicle on N. Grove Street in North Valley Stream. 

- Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 2, unknown person(s) caused damage to a vehicle on Shipley Avenue in North Valley Stream. 

- On Dec. 2 at 12:15 p.m. an individual from Rosedale was arrested for shoplifting at Target on W. Sunrise Highway. 

Hempstead

- On Dec. 1 at 10:30 a.m., an individual from Elmont was arrested for shoplifting at Home Depot on Hempstead Turnpike. 

Oceanside

On Nov. 30 at 5:52 p.m., an individual from Long Beach was arrested for shoplifting at Kohls on Long Beach Road. 

- Sometime between 6 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 22, unknown person(s) removed property from an unlocked vehicle on E. Henrietta Avenue.
