Arrests

April 29 -  at 6:36am Danielle E. Kain, 26, of Hewlett, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Obstructing an Intersection on Peninsula Blvd.

Case Reports

Petty Larceny – At 2:30pm on April 25, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) removed a Mongoose BMX bicycle, color yellow, from the shed located at their residence. The value of the bicycle is $200.00 dollars.

Suspicious/Unusual Incident - At 7:15am on April 26, the complainant, a 16 year old female, stated that while she was walking northbound on Broadway, 100 s/o Union Place, when she observed a hispanic male in a small black car. The male yelled at the female from the open passenger side window of the car. The female continued to walk when the male exited his vehicle and started to follow the female stating to her “Let me take you to school” at which time the female became scared and started to run away. The complainant ran to the , where she is a student, at which time she notified the personnel of the incident. The male is described as a hispanic male, in his 40’s, 6”1” tall, thin build, with a mustache and wearing a white hat. The male was last seen on Broadway.

Identity Theft - At 2:28pm on April 26, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) filed a tax return with the IRS and New York State using their social security number.

Leaving the Scene (Personal Injury) - At 4:00pm on April 26, the complainant reports that while E/B on Sunrise Hwy their vehicle was struck by a Chevrolet truck which was entering the roadway from a parked position. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and make know their identity. 

Criminal Mischief- At 9:00am on April 27, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) damaged their car which was parked in their private driveway on Whitehall Street. The vehicle was scratched with an unknown object causing $150.00 dollars in damage.

Attempted Identity Theft – At 12:35pm on April 27, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) applied for two “Pay Power” Visa Debit cards in the complainant’s name.
