Crime Report: Property Stolen From Vehicles, DWI Arrest
A rundown of crimes and arrests reported by Nassau County Police.
The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.
Lynbrook
- On Oct. 20 at 2 p.m., a victim reported that her pocketbook was taken by unknown person(s) and her credit card was used. The incident took place at Cross Island Fruits on Hempstead Ave.
- On Oct. 16 at 7:45 p.m., Azarra Ali was arrested and charged with DWI on Franklin Ave.
West Hempstead
- Sometime between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Oct. 19, property was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Westminster Rd.
- Sometime between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Oct. 18, property was taken from a vehicle parked in a driveway on Marlboro Rd.
- On Oct. 20 at 5:10 p.m., an unknown person(s) broke the passenger window and took property from a vehicle at the West Hempstead Police Activity League (PAL) on Hempstead Ave.
- Sometime between Oct. 20 at 9 p.m. and Oct. 21 at 8:30 a.m., unknown person(s) removed property from unlocked vehicle on Chestnut St.
- On Oct. 16 at 10:40 a.m., two individuals were arrested and charged with petty larceny at the Stop & Shop on Cherry Valley Ave.
