Crime Watch: Burglaries Reported at West Hempstead Homes, Ark Realty and More

BURGLARIES

A home on Pinebrook Avenue in Lakeview was buglarized on March 12.

A burglary was reported on March 18 at a West Hempstead home located on Sycamore Street.

There was an attempted burglary reported on March 16 at a North Valley Stream home located on Ashley Drive.

Ark Realty on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead was burglarized between March 18 and March 19.

A burglary was also reported at St. Catherine of Siena School in Franklin Square, located on New Hyde Park Road, between March 15 and March 16.

GRAND LARCENIES

Two vehicles were stolen from driveways on March 13. The first incident occurred on Village Avenue in Elmont and the second on Paul Place in West Hempstead. Another was taken on March 19 from the driveway of an Elmont home located on Jacob Street.

A motorcycle was stolen on March 20 from the driveway of a Franklin Square home located on Barrymore Boulevard.

A vehicle that had been parked in front of a home on Freeman Avenue in Elmont was stolen on March 17.

Tires and rims were stolen on March 3 off of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Lydia Avenue in Elmont. The car was left on bricks.

LARCENY/OTHER THEFT OFFENSES

An unknown person removed a GPS from a vehicle parked on Hempstead Gardens Drive in West Hempstead between March 12 and March 13.

A mailbox that had been attached to a 4-by-4 post on the front lawn of a Valley Stream home located on Sylvan Place was stolen on March 7.

Between March 14 and March 15, an unknown suspected entered a victim's vehicle without permission while it was parked on Nocella Court in West Hempstead and removed a GPS and other items.

A GPS was also stolen from a car parked on Adams Avenue in West Hempstead on March 14.

An unknown subject stole a purse from a woman's car that had been parked on Nightingale Road in West Hempstead between March 18 and March 19.

Laptops were stolen from two cars parked in Franklin Square, one on Monroe Street, the other on James Street, between March 15 and March 16.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A person living in a residence on Ocean Avenue in Valley Stream returned to their home on March 16 to find its side window had been broken.

A female victim reported on March 16 that an unknown person damaged the door handle to her shed located on Harrison Avenue in Franklin Square.
