Crime Watch: Malverne Home Burglary, West Hempstead Man Arrested

The folllowing information was supplied by the Malverne Police and Rockville Centre Police Departments. A report from the Nassau County Police's Fifth Precinct was not available this week. Any arrest information does not indicate a conviction.  

Malverne Home Burglarized

The are investigating a burglary that occurred Friday evening at a home on Scarcliffe Drive.

The incident was reported to the police around 4:30 p.m on Feb. 10, according to Malverne Police Chief John Aresta, who said he could not disclose any futher information as the case was under investigation.

"It's still very fresh," he added.

West Hempstead Man Charged With Assault

Antonio Valle, 45, of West Hempstead, was arrested on Feb. 1 at 12:13 p.m. at Lakeview Avenue and Waterview Avenue in Lakeview by Rockville Centre Police. He was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer, reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated, failure to yield to a police vehicle, reckless driving, unlicensed operator, and failure to maintain lane, following a police investigation that began at Lakeview Avenue and Hempstead Avenue in Rockville Centre.
