Crimes Nearby: Assault at RVC Day Care

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department, Rockville Centre Police Department and Garden City Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On April 1 at 4:22 p.m., Emmanuel Jesus Infante-Diaz, 29, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and vehicle and traffic law violations following an auto accident investigation by police personnel in Municipal Parking Field No. 7 in Rockville Centre.
  • On April 12, with cooperation and assistance from Community National Bank personnel, a Garden City police officer arrested a bank manager, a 49-year-old female from Jamaica, for the theft of $3,800 from a customer’s account. The bank is located on Franklin Avenue in Garden City.
  • On April 13, a Garden City police officer was on patrol when he observed a vehicle pass a red light southbound on Roslyn Road on to eastbound Old Country Road in Garden City. He stopped the vehicle and upon an investigation, arrested the operator -- a 24-year-old male from Lindenhurst -- for aggravated DWI (.20 percent blood alcohol content), passing a red light, a lane violation, defective tail lights and uninsured operation.
  • On April 14, a Garden City police officer arrested a 47-year-old male from West Hempstead for the theft of $84 in merchandise from Sears in Garden City.
  • On April 16, Garden City police officers responded to a Garden City address where two residents were engaged in a dispute. Upon an investigation, a 44-year-old male was arrested for harassment after pushing a female resident to the ground in the driveway causing a laceration to her hand.
Burglary
  • On April 1 at 10:58 p.m., a complainant from N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., unknown person(s) apparently entered his apartment through a window and stole an iPad valued at $400 and assorted jewelry valued more than $19,000.
Assault
  • On April 1 at 3:55 p.m., a complainant from Flushing reported that at approximately 12:20 p.m., she was assaulted by a client at 266 N. Centre Ave. in Rockville Centre while working as a day care assistant.
