The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Crimes in Rockville Centre, West Hempstead, Elmont, Valley Stream, Lakeview and Franklin Square:

Fire:

  • On Aug. 14 at 5:21 a.m., police personnel responded to a reported fire at We Buy Gold, located at 218A Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre. RCFD extinguished a fire to the awning of the building possibly caused by neon lights at location of incident.

Burglary

  • A home on Greenwood Court in West Hempstead was burglarized overnight between Aug. 16 and 17.

Grand Larceny

  • On Aug. 8, a complainant from Ohio Street in Hicksville reported that his parked 1996 Chevrolet was stolen from Municipal Parking Field No. 1 sometime between  Aug. 5 at 10 p.m. and Aug. 6 at 4:15 a.m. 
  • On Aug. 9, a complainant from Windsor Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that his Trek 7100 mountain bicycle valued at $400 was stolen from the bicycle rack at the LIRR Station N. Village Avenue and Front Street sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. where it had been secured with a cable lock.
  • On Aug. 13, a complainant from Berkshire Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole an iPod valued at $125 and ear bud valued at $5 from his 2010 Jeep while parked in the driveway between Aug. 12 at 10:30 p.m. and Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. 
  • On Aug. 16, a complainant from Beech Street in South Hempstead reported that his orbital sanders and sander discs valued at $495 total were stolen from Hewitt School, located at 446 Hempstead Ave. in Rockville Centre sometime between Aug. 4 at 4 p.m. and Aug. 16 at 7 a.m.
  • On Aug. 15, a complainant from Whittier Street in Westbury reported that unknown person(s) took a purse from her 1999 Ford that was parked in front of 50 Lenox Road in Rockville Centre between 11:15 a.m. and 11:55 a.m. The superintendent of 31 Lenox Road in Rockville Centre reported finding the purse in the rear of his building; the complainant reported that $4,000 was missing from the recovered property.
  • On Aug. 15, a complainant from Fox Avenue in Baldwin reported that unknown person(s) stole his digital camera valued at $149 sometime between 12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m.while he was working at Mercy Medical Center, located at 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.
  • Cars were stolen from three separate locations in Elmont between Aug. 16 and Aug. 21. The vehicles had been parked at the intersection of Evans and Star avenues, on Elmont Road and on Marshall Street.
  • A vehicle that had been parked on West Merrick Road in Valley Stream was reportedly stolen overnight between Aug. 18 and Aug. 19.
  • An unknown subject reportedly broke the door to a shed located on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead sometime between Aug. 13 and Aug. 15 and stole scrap metal.
  • A GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked on Edgewood Road in Lakeview between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8. Another was taken from a car parked on Wilson Road in Valley Stream on Aug. 14.
  • A bicycle was stolen from a shed located at Trinity Place in West Hempstead between Aug. 18 and Aug. 19.
  • A statue was stolen from a location on Oaks Drive in Franklin Square on Aug. 19.
  • "Assorted bills" were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Buckingham Road in West Hempstead on Aug. 21.
  • A GPS, wallet and "personal papers" were stolen from a car parked on Spruce Street in West Hempstead on Aug. 20.
  • Tires, rims and an umbrella were reportedly stolen from the backyard of a home on Poplar Street in West Hempstead between Aug. 19 and Aug. 20.
  • An iPad, GPS and laptop were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream on Aug. 19.
  • Personal papers were reported stolen from a vehicle parked overnight on E. Hawthorne Avenue in Valley Stream between Aug. 12 and Aug. 13. They were also stolen, along with DVDs, from an unlocked car parked on Adam Street in Elmont between Aug. 16 and Aug. 17.
  • The side view mirrors were stolen off of a car parked on Arthur Avenue in South Floral Park on Aug. 15.
  • An unknown subject shattered the passenger's side window of a car parked on Elmont Road and Cromer Road in Elmont on Aug. 22. An iPod was reported stolen.

Criminal Mischief

  • Unknown subjects broke the front bay window of a home on Third Avenue in Franklin Square on Aug. 15. Windows were also reportedly broken at a home on Hendrickson Avenue in Valley Stream on Aug. 19 and another on Oakley Avenue in Elmont on Aug. 20.
  • The rear window of a vehicle parked on Junard Boulevard in West Hempstead on Aug. 16 was reportedly broken by unknown subjects. Another window was broken on a car parked on 240th Street in Elmont on Aug. 20.
  • Unknown subjects keyed a vehicle parked on E. Merrick Road in Valley Stream on Aug. 19. Another car parked on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square sustained scratches on Aug. 16.

Arrest:

  • On Aug. 14 at 12:04 p.m., Christopher Undorff, 42, of Bellmore, was arrested following a police investigation at Sunrise Highway and Ocean Avenue for second-degree criminal contempt that reportedly occurred on Aug.12 in Merrick.
  • On Aug. 12 at 9:58 a.m., Frankie Ciena, 35, of Rockville Centre was arrested for third-degree assault following an investigation at his residence.

Criminal Trespass:

  • On Aug. 14 at 5 p.m, complainant contractor at a Forestdale Road residence reported that unknown person(s) had entered the unoccupied building without authorization sometime between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 at 7 a.m. There was no reported damage or loss and empty beer cans were discovered at the scene.

Assault:

  • On Aug. 15, a female complainant from S. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre reported that a male acquaintance assaulted her while they were at his residence on Aug. 13 between 3:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Criminal Contempt:

  • On Aug. 12, a complainant from S. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that the mother of his child violated two orders of protection during a telephone conversation with their daughter.
