Crime Report: CVS Robbed; Identity Theft Reported
Lynbrook police release weekly crime report.
The following is the weekly crime report released by the Lynbrook Police Department. All information comes from the police, and suspects charged with crimes are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Arrests
- On Nov. 2 at 12:53 a.m., Lamont Johnson, 48, of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing over $650 worth of merchandise from CVS in Lynbrook.

- On Oct. 29, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., police say an unknown subject(s) poured flour and water into the gas tank of a 2001 Mazda Tribute which was parked in a municipal parking field in Lynbrook. Police say $217 worth of damage was done.
- Sometime between Oct. 22 and Nov. 2, police say unknown persons obtained credit in a Lynbrook victim's name, charging $4,900 worth of merchandise.
- Between the hours of 12 p.m. on Oct. 25 and 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, it was reported that $3,000 worth of jewelry, $100 worth of prescription medication, and $100 in U.S. currency was stolen from a Malden Avenue residence in Lynbrook.
- Between the hours of 8 a.m. on Nov. 2 and 1 p.m. on Nov. 3, a wallet containing credit cards and paperwork was reported stolen from a 2002 Ford Explorer parked on a side street in Lynbrook.
- On Nov. 7 at 4:17 a.m., three school buses parked at Davison Avenue School in Lynbrook were . The Nassau County Arson/Bomb Squad is investigating.
