Driscoll Loses Teacher's License After Capri Student Sex Case

Tara Driscoll was also required to register as a Level 1 sex offender.

Tara Driscoll, the Queens teacher who after having sex with a student at the Capri Motor Inn in March 2011, was sentenced to six years probation Friday afternoon.

According to the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, Driscoll, of Bay Shore, has also been required to register as a Level 1 sex offender and has surrendered her teacher's license.

Driscoll, 34, who taught English at Campus Magnet Educational Complex in Queens, pleaded guilty in March to sexual misconduct for having sexual relations with a 16-year-old male student.

According to Nassau County detectives, on March 19, 2011, Driscoll drove the student to the Capri Motel at 5 Freer St. in Lynbrook. While at the motel Driscoll allegedly engaged in sexual relations with the victim.
