Driver Crashes Into Parked Car in West Hempstead

One person was transported to Winthrop University Hospital.

A male driver traveling along Woodfield Road in West Hempstead may have suffered a medical emergency after his vehicle crashed into a parked car near Woodlawn Road early Monday morning.

The driver was removed from the vehicle by Nassau County police and immediately transferred to a waiting Nassau County Police Department ambulance where CPR was initiated by paramedics. He was transported to Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola.

West Hempstead Fire Department units were also on the scene as the original call reported that the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
