Honorary Lynbrook FD Member Paul Pearsall Dies

Funeral services to be held Monday and Tuesday in Lynbrook and East Rockaway.

Paul Pearsall, an honorary member of the Lynbrook Fire Department's Engine Company #1, died peacefully Sunday in his home. He was 55.

Pearsall was born in Oceanside on March 22, 1957. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Pearsall, and his devoted brothers and sisters David and Patti Pearsall, Kathy and Dan Hahl, and AnnMarie and Doug Klemm.

He was described as "the best" uncle to Nick, Shannan, Christine, Gary, DJ, Danny and Allison, and great uncle to Serenity, Amanda, Aidan, Nolan, Addy, and Bella in an online obituary, which stated, "He will be missed to a degree that no words could ever express."

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lynbrook Volunteer Fire Department or to a charity "closest to your heart."

Visitation services will take place Monday at Flinch and Bruns Funeral Home located at 34 Hempstead Ave., Lynbrook, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Raymond's R.C. Church located at 263 Atlantic Ave., East Rockaway. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Greenfield Ceremony (650 Nassau Rd., Uniondale).
