Huntington Station Man Shot to Death

A Huntington Station man was shot to death early Wednesday morning.

The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is investigating.

Second Precinct police officers responded to 11 Tippin Dr., Huntington Station at 12:56 a.m. after a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot. They discovered Darnell Boddie, 42, lying on the front steps of his residence. He was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

I played many basketball games with and against Boddie. He was a real positive dude and was taken away too soon. I will miss you friend rest in peace

These shootings normally aren't random. 1 am in his front yard? Motive? Get the guns and the dirtbags off the street.

I knew Boddie since I was 14 yrs old , I did alot of things with this man, one of the best b ball players I've ever come across he lived life with no fear, the last thing he told me a couple of Weeks ago I gotta do what I gotta do to eat!! The choices we make in life determine life or death I just hope he had his life right with GOD before he left, Johnny Famous
