Lakeview FD Responds to 3-Car Crash on Parkway
One person transported to Mercy Hospital following Monday night accident near Exit 17S.
The Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department responded to a three-car collision Monday night on the Southern State Parkway.
The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on eastbound side of the parkway near the Malverne-West Hempstead exit.
When firefighters arrived they found one vehicle in the wooded area off the 17S -Hempstead Avenue ramp, and the other two cars, which were significantly damaged, were blocking the ramp for almost an hour, Lakeview Fire Chief Heather Senti told Patch.

Lakeview's ambulance transported one patient from the scene to Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre with minor injuries.
