Lakeview Man Arrested for Multiple Nassau Bank Robberies

Suspect charged with three robberies and one attempted robbery, including one in West Hempstead.

Nassau Police have arrested a Lakeview man allegedly responsible for several bank robberies in Nassau County, including the incident at in West Hempstead.

The Robbery Squad arrested Frank Jackson, 47, on Friday in Hempstead without incident.  

Jackson is charged with three counts of Robbery 3rd Degree, one count of Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree and False Personation. He will be arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.

One of those robberies occurred at in East Meadow . No customers were present at the time of that robbery, according to police, and no injuries were reported. The other robbery occurred in Freeport on Nov. 22, 2011.

During the Jan. 12 robbery in West Hempstead, there were seven employees and one customer present. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
