Lynbrook Crime Report, Part I: Assault, DWI and Marijuana Arrests

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is an accusation, and does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

- On Dec. 11 at 10:42am, John S. Budhu 39, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration and uninspected motor vehicle on Peninsula Boulevard. 
- On Dec. 11 at 10:30pm, Thomas C. Morash, 26, of Rockville Centre,  was arrested and charged with assault at Lynbrook Police Headquarters.
- On Dec. 12 at 4:27pm, Kevin A. Cabrera 27, of Uniondale, was arrested and charged with two open warrants for aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, unsafe lane change, failure to signal and unlicensed operation on Peninsula Blvd.
- On Dec. 13 at 12:24am, Christian F. McMaster 30, of Jamaica, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, two counts driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change and failure to signal on Scranton Avenue.

- On Dec. 14 at 2:00am, Avante L. Lester 20, of East Rockaway, NY was arrested and charged with an open warrant for unlawful possession of Marijuana on Broadway.
- On Dec. 14 at 10:45am, Jorge L. Tejada 25, of Freeport, NY was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation, aggravated unlicensed operation, circumvention of interlock device and no seat belt on Sunrise Hwy.  
 
- On Dec. 15 at 1:40pm, Rodrigo Leiton 50, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with an open warrant for driving while intoxicated on Broadway.

- On Dec. 17 at 3:25am, Marcello G. Tortora 31, of New Hyde Park, NY was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Driving While Ability Impaired Combined Influence Drugs or Alcohol and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance on Niemann Ave.

- On Dec. 17 at 8:10pm Christina M. Ledwith 42, of East Rockaway, NY was arrested and charged with Aggravated Harassment at Lynbrook Police Headquarters.
- On Dec. 18 at 5:45am, Brian K. Bengtson 48, of West Hempstead, NY was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and two count Driving While Intoxicated on Langdon Place.

- On Dec. 21 at 2:05pm, Borris D. Spence 63, of Queens Village, NY was arrested and charged with False Personation, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Equipment Violation on Merrick Road.
 - On Dec. 21 at 8:40pm, Jong C. Lee 67, of Woodside, NY was arrested and charged with two counts Driving While Intoxicated on Sunrise Hwy.
- On Dec. 22 at 1:34am David Steve Baires 36, of Rockville Centre, NY was arrested and charged with two counts Driving While Intoxicated and Unsafe Lane Change on Sunrise Highway.
- On Dec. 22 at 5:00pm, Shakeem S. Baker 21, of Far Rockaway, NY was arrested and charged with Petty Larceny, False Personation and Disorderly Conduct (warrant) on Sunrise Highway.

- On Dec. 23 at 12:10am, Andrew P. Pohalski Jr. 20, of Huntington, NY was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct on Scranton Avenue.
