Lynbrook PD: Drug Arrest on Atlantic Avenue

A weekly rundown of arrests and case reports from the Lynbrook Police Department.

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On March 28 at 10:29 a.m., Daniel F. Geraghty, 28, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and use of a portable electronic device (cell phone) on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On March 28 at 7:25 p.m., Jose U. Felix, 45, of West Hempstead, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and use of a portable electronic device (cell phone) on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On March 28 at 9:57 p.m., Leslie A. Boyle 24, of Old Bethpage, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • On March 29 at 9:30 p.m., Amanda K. Belardo 22, of Jamaica, was arrested and charged with prostitution in Room 140 of the Lynbrook Capri Motor Inn, located at 5 Freer St. Click here to read more about the arrest.
  • On March 30 at 3:20 a.m., Pablo A. Giron, 32, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation and no plate lamp on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

Case Reports

  • Burglary: At 6:55 p.m. on March 25, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) entered their residence, located at 103 Smith St. in Lynbrook, through a rear window and ransacked their bedroom. The complainant was unable to determine if there was anything taken from their residence at the time of the report.
  • Identity Theft: At 10:15 p.m. on March 26, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) made a charge on their Discover Credit Card. The charge was in the amount of $1,400.
  • Damaged Property: At 6:01 p.m. on March 27, a complainant reported that their 2011 Honda, which was parked on Wyoming Avenue in Lynbrook, had the driver’s side window damaged by a landscaping company. The damage is in the amount of $300.
  • NOTE: The 2012 Jeep Liberty reported stolen on March 23 from the Anchor Audi Service Center, located at 163 Denton Ave. in Lynbrok, was not stolen. The vehicle was returned to Enterprise Rent a Car and re-rented. The vehicle was then reported stolen in error.
