Lynbrook PD: Woman Arrested Twice in Five Hours

A weekly rundown of arrests and case reports from the Lynbrook Police Department.

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On May 22 at 12:55 a.m., Farah L. Calixte, 31, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, resisting arrest and parking violation on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On May 22 at 5:18 a.m., Farah L. Calixte 31, of Brooklyn, was arrested again and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook after police said she decided to drive after being released the first time.
  • On May 22 at 11:06 p.m., Joseph M. Costabile, 28, of Staten Island, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to signal on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On May 23 at 5:04 a.m., Stephen Reid, 28, of Rosedale, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unsafe lane change on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On May 23 at 6:20 p.m. Cal Johnson, 31, of Bellrose, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operation and failure to signal on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
  • On May 23 at 7:10 p.m., James R. Stissi, 46, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with false personation on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
  • On May 24 at 3:33 p.m., Adrian McLennon, 19, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with grand larceny and falsify business record at 400 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On May 25 at 12:05 a.m., Franklin Rodriguez, 29, of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Forest Avenue in Lynbrook.
Case Reports
  • Burglary: At 10:15 p.m. on May 20, the owner of ARA Deli Grocery, located at 186 Hempstead Ave. in Lynbrook, reported that an unknown person(s) entered the store and took $2,000 worth of New York State Lottery tickets from the store. The person(s) gained access by removing the cylinder lock from the front door. The tickets were taken between 8:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on May 20.
  • Petit Larceny: At 5:20 p.m. on May 21, the manager of RiteAid, located at 400 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, reports that a male entered the store and placed two boxes of Magnum condoms, valued at $51.98, into a plastic bag and left the store. The male set off the security alarm at which time the manager attempted to stop the male. The male ran from the store where he was met by a female. The male and female both continued to run to a Black Hyundai Elantra, which was parked in the parking lot and being operated by another male. The vehicle then left northbound on Forest Avenue. The male is described as white male, 30-35 years old, approximately 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall, 150-160 pounds, wearing cargo shorts, a white t-shirt, dark blue hat and black sneakers. The female is a white female with no further description. The second male is a white male with no further description.
  • Grand Larceny: At 8:45 p.m. on May 21, a complainant reported that their gold chain and cross, valued at $1,500, dove pendant, valued at $300 and $100 in assorted cash went missing from their home located on Fowler Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • Identity Theft: At 10:20 a.m. on May 23, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened a credit card account with Credit One Bank and US Bank using their name and social security number. The accounts were then used to make purchases in the amount of $10,824.20.
