Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray (2nd left), Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino (right) and Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad (left) recently presented Honorary Chief William Myers of the Lynbrook Fire Department with the 2013 Town of Hempstead Firematic Service Award.
Thirty-three first responders from the Town of Hempstead were honored at the ceremony for various deeds, including life-saving rescues and acts of valor within the community.
Also honored at the ceremony was East Rockaway Fire Department ex-captain, Patty Seifert.
