Malverne FD Knocks Down Garage Fire

Fire breaks out on Rider Avenue Sunday night.

A fire broke out Sunday night inside a garage on Rider Avenue in Malverne.

The Volunteer Malverne Fire Department was called to 269 Rider Ave. around 8 p.m. on Feb. 17 where they were met with heavy smoke and flames.

The garage was not attached to any structures, so firefighters were able to contain and knock down the blaze. No injuries were reported.
