Malverne PD: Alleged Drunk Driver Hits Pole, Resident Harassed

The following information was supplied by the Malverne Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Case Reports

  • A Nassau Boulevard resident reported receiving numerous harassing text messages and phone calls on Sept. 11 from a person that is known to the complainant. is investigating.

  • A Rockville Centre man, while operating a motor vehicle on Cornwell Avenue on Sept. 10, lost control of his vehicle after turning onto Clinton Street, where the vehicle struck a telephone pole. An investigation at scene revealed that the driver was in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest by Malvere Police Officers Hill and Lang and transported to the Nassau County Police Department’s Central Testing Section for further testing. The suspect was lodged overnight at Nassau County Police Headquarters and was arraigned at First District Court on Sept. 11.
