Malverne PD: Two Arrests, Hit and Run

A weekly rundown of arrests and case reports from the Malverne Police Department.

The following information was supplied by the Malverne Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On April 6 at 10:30 a.m., a Malverne man was arrested for assault in the third degree by Police Officer Esposito and Police Officer McNelis. The subject was taken to Malverne Police headquarters for processing and then transported to Nassau County detention to be housed overnight and arraigned the next day at First District court.
  • On April 13 at 9:56 a.m., a Rockville Centre woman was arrested by Police Office McNelis for operating a motor vehicle on Ocean Avenue in the Village of Malverne with a suspended license. The defendant was transported to Malverne Police headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant posted bail and was released with an appearance ticket returnable to Malverne Village court.
Case Reports
  • On April 15 at 2:15 p.m., a Malverne woman reported that her vehicle was parked on Hempstead Avenue in the Village of Malverne when an unknown white vehicle, operated by an unknown person, collided into her vehicle and left the scene. The Malverne police are investigating.
