Man Robbed at Gunpoint With Submachine Gun

Police are searching for four suspects involved in the crime.

A Lynbrook man was robbed early Saturday morning after being approached by two heavily armed suspects and forced to withdraw money from various ATMs in town.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 12:20 a.m., a 40-year-old male victim pulled into the driveway of his residence on Peninsula Boulevard and exited the vehicle when he was approached by two male suspects armed with a handgun and submachine gun. The subjects ordered the victim back into his vehicle at gunpoint and also entered the vehicle occupying the front and rear passenger seats.

Both subjects pointed the weapons at the victim’s head and ordered him to drive to an ATM, police said. He drove to a Citibank near the intersection of Merrick Road and Broadway and withdrew $200.

According to police, the suspects then ordered him to drive to Concord Street and Dawes Avenue, where they forced the victim to exit the vehicle and led him to a gray Nissan sedan parked near Concord Street and N. Prospect Avenue occupied by two more suspects.

They then drove the victim to the Chase Bank located at 163 Merrick Road in Valley Stream and ordered him to withdraw more cash, but the victim was unable due to having reached his limit, police said.

The victim was then taken to Roosevelt Avenue and Mill Road where the suspects took his wallet, keys and cell phone, police said. The subjects then let the victim out of the vehicle and returned his SIM cards to him. The victim notified police.

No injuries were reported.

The first suspect is described as a male Indian, 25-30 years of age, 5-foot-10, thin build, dark complexion, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, with a West Indian accent and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is a black male, 20-30 years of age, dark complexion, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, with a West Indian accent, and armed with a submachine gun.

The third suspect is a black male, light complexion, with a short fade haircut and was the driver of the gray Nissan sedan.

The fourth suspect is a female Indian, 20-25 years of age, medium complexion, average build, long straight black hair and a West Indian accent.
