Man Robs Lynbrook Pharmacy, Steals Oxycontin

The incident occurred Saturday evening at Picker Pharmacy on Atlantic Avenue; police are searching for the suspect.

A man jumped over the counter at a Lynbrook pharmacy, demanding Oxycontin pills from the owner and stole two bottles Saturday evening, Lynbrook police said.

Police said the suspect entered , located at 18 Atlantic Ave. at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and walked up to the pharmacy counter demanding Oxycontin. After the owner said he did not have any, the suspect jumped over the counter and confronted the owner, again demanding the pills and grabbing his waistband as if he had a gun, police said. 

The owner then gave the man two bottles containing 20 Oxycontin tablets, and he exited the store northbound on Atlantic Avenue, according to police.
