Nassau PD: 5 DWI Arrests in West Hempstead

A rundown of arrests and crimes reported in the Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On March 13 at 9:55 p.m., Craig Bonne, 51, of Mineola, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike near Buckingham Road in West Hempstead.
  • On March 16 at 2 a.m., Brian Lewin, 24, of Lakeview, was arrested for DWI on Poplar Street in West Hempstead.
  • On March 16 at 5 a.m., Adriel Thomas, 34, of Hempstead, was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Morton Avenue and Ivy Street in West Hempstead.
  • On March 17 at 4:20 a.m., Arileida Rodriguez, 27, of Massapequa, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike near Cherry Valley Road in West Hempstead.
  • On March 17 at 11:15 p.m., Eduardo Yanes-Acosta, 44, of Franklin Square, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike near S Greenway in West Hempstead.
  • On March 18 at 7:40 p.m., William Riano, 47, of Island Park, was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Denton Avenue in East Rockaway.

Case Reports

  • Between 4 p.m. on On March 13 and 6 a.m. on March 14, an unknown suspect(s) stole a GPS and E-ZPass tag out of an unlocked vehicle on Sycamore Street in West Hempstead.
  • Between 1 a.m. on 10 a.m. on March 15, an unknown suspect(s) stole a bank card and a NYS registration card out of an unlocked vehicle parked on Eagle Avenue in Lakeview.
