Nassau PD: DWI Arrests, Gas Siphoned from Boat, T-Mobile Vandalized

A weekly rundown of crimes committed in West Hempstead, Lakeview, N. Lynbrook and the rest of the recently realigned Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

DWI

  • Kerry A. Barron, 49, of Westbury, was arrested on Nov. 17 for DWI at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Mayfair Avenue in West Hempstead.
  • Shanay T. Lewis, 27, of Huntington Station, was arrested on Nov. 17 for DWI on Woodfield Road in West Hempstead.
  • Tyrone S. Walker, 28, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on Nov. 18 for DWI at the intersection of Route 878 and Bayview Avenue in Inwood.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

  • An unknown person(s) caused damage to the front window of the T-Mobile store located at 590 Hempstead Tpke. in West Hempstead on Nov. 17.
  • An unknown person(s) broke the front window of an Elmont residence located on Gotham Avenue with two pellets on Nov. 17.
  • An unknown person(s) threw paint on a vehicle parked on Montomery Avenue in Oceanside on Nov. 15.

GRAND LARCENIES

  • An unknown person(s) removed four tires and rims from a vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on Jefferson Avenue in Island Park on Nov. 15.

LARCENIES/OTHER THEFTS

  • An unknown person(s) removed gasoline from a boat, which was parked in a driveway of a home on Eton Street in Valley Stream on Nov. 12.
  • An unknown person(s) removed a bicycle from in front of a residence on Argyle Road in Cedarhurst on Nov. 13.
  • Diamond Chapman, 18, of Jamaica, was arrested for shoplifting at the Old Navy store in Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream on Nov. 15.
  • Alex M. Riccio, 23, of Levittown, was arrested for shoplifting on Nov. 16 at Central Lock & Key, located at 355 Central Ave. in Lawrence.
  • Ashley S. Motiram, 20, of South Ozone Park, was arrested for shoplifting on Nov. 18 at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • Barbara A. Kane, 60, of Far Rockaway, was arrested for shoplifting on Nov. 18 at the JCPenney in Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • An unknown person(s) removed cash and a phone from a vehicle parked inside an unlocked garage on Dickson Street in Inwood on Nov. 12.
  • Items were stolen from a car parked on Lyon Street in Valley Stream on Nov. 13.

PETIT LARCENY

  • An unknown person(s) removed a freezer from the yard of the Sunoco gas station located on 105 Sheridan Blvd. in Inwood on Nov. 12.
