Nassau PD: Cars Burglarized in East Rockaway, DWIs Continue

A rundown of arrests and crimes reported in the Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On March 23 at 4:30 p.m., Ricardo Smith, 43, of Brooklyn, was arrested for shoplifting at the Stop & Shop located at 50 Cherry Valley Ave. in West Hempstead.
  • On March 23 at 2:10 a.m., Dale Jones, 48, of Sunnyside, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike near New York Avenue in West Hempstead.
  • On March 23 at 4:53 a.m., Keith Kendrick, 46, of Freeport, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike near Morton Avenue in West Hempstead.
  • On March 25 at 6:15 p.m., Stewart White, 65, of Springfield Garden, was arrested for DWI on New Hyde Park Road near Cathedral Avenue in Franklin Square.

Case Reports

  • Between 12:01 a.m. and 8 a.m. on March 23, an unknown suspect(s) stole cash out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Benton Avenue home in East Rockaway.
  • Between 10:30 p.m. on March 22 and 12 p.m. on March 23, an unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet with credit cards and personal papers out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of an Alexine Avenue home in East Rockaway.
  • Between 6 p.m. on March 23 and 10 a.m. on March 25, an unknown suspect(s) cracked the front window of Big City Bicycle, located at 301 Nasasu Blvd. in Garden City South.

I cant believe it DWI's have continued. I must have missed the article in the Patch where it said they stopped.
