Nassau PD: Echo Park Car Break-in

A rundown of arrests and crimes reported in the Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On June 8 at 5 a.m., Zakaria Ammar, 30, of Hollis, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike near Lincoln Road in Franklin Square.

Case Reports
  • Between 8:30 p.m. on June 3 and 8:30 a.m. on June 4, an unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet, credit card, social security card and driver's license out of a vehicle parked one Averill Boulevard in Franklin Square.
  • Between 7:30 p.m. on June 3 and 7:30 a.m. on June 4, an unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle and took loose change on Lindberg Street in West Hempstead.
  • Between 10 p.m. on June 3 and 6 a.m. on June 4, an unknown suspect(s) removed cash, sunglasses, a blue tooth and a phone charger out of an unlocked vehicle parked on Farnum Boulevard in Franklin Square.
  • Between 7 p.m. on June 8 and 2 a.m. on June 9, an unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle on Fairlawn Avenue in West Hempstead.
  • Between 12 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. on June 9, an unknown suspect(s) broke a window and removed a bag and a Kindle out of a vehicle parked at Echo Park pool in West Hempstead.
  • On June 9 at 8 a.m., a complainant discovered damage to the roof and windshield of his vehicle on Madison Street in Franklin Square.
  • On June 11 at 9 p.m., a complainant discovered the windows to her vehicle smashed by unknown suspect(s) on Garfield Street in Franklin Square.
