Nassau PD: Valley Stream Home Burglaries, Property Stolen in West Hempstead
A weekly rundown of crimes committed in West Hempstead, Lakeview, N. Lynbrook and the rest of the Fifth Precinct.
The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
BURGLARIES
Two Valley Stream homes -- one on E. Maple Street and another on Ocean Avenue, were burglarized on Aug. 29 and Aug. 31, respectively.

Valley Van Conversions located on W. Merrick Road in Valley Stream was burglarized on Aug. 27.
MM Garden Center and Nursery on Nassau Boulevard in Garden City South was burglarized between Sept. 1 and Sept. 2.

GRAND LARCENY
A car that had been parked on the corner of Eweler Avenue and Schenck Boulevard in Elmont was stolen on Sept. 2.
LARCENIES
Tires and rims were stolen from cars parked on Park Lane and Southern Drive in Franklin Square on Aug. 31.
Property was taken from a vehicle parked on Langley Avenue in West Hempstead sometime between Aug. 28 and Aug. 29.
Items were also stolen from a vehicle parked on Colony Street in West Hempstead on Aug. 30.
An unknown suspect broke the windshield of a station wagon parked at the corner of Cochran Place and Debois Avenue in Valley Stream on Aug. 27 and stole a bicycle.
