A nail salon was robbed at gunpoint Thursday evening in Franklin Square, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said a masked man with a gun entered Angel Nail & Spa on Hempstead Turnpike and demanded cash from the register. A 43-year-old employee complied and handed an undetermined amount of cash to the subject, who fled east on Hempstead Turnpike, cops said.
The victim said she was not injured.

The robbery happened at 6:24 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The subject is described as a white man, 40-50 years old, and was wearing a black mask and black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
