A 20-year-old man was beaten and stabbed during an afternoon robbery on Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square Tuesday.
According to Nassau County detectives, around 1:30 p.m., the victim was in his friend's car traveling eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike when he asked his friend to pull over so he could buy cigarettes.
After exiting the vehicle near Catherine Avenue, the victim was approached by two black males and one Hispanic male. The three suspects pulled the victim's hoodie over his head and then began punching and stabbing him, police said.
The suspects removed a Michael Kors watch from the victim’s wrist during the assault and fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim managed to get back to his friend’s car where he realized that he had been stabbed numerous times, police said. He was driven to a local hospital where he was admitted for injuries.
No further description of the suspects was available.
