One Person Injured in West Hempstead Crash

West Hempstead firefighters and EMS respond to two-car accident on Hempstead Avenue.

One person was injured in a two-car accident on Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead Thursday night.

The West Hempstead Fire Department was on the scene with firefighters and EMS personnel, who transported the injured driver to Winthrop Hospital in Mineola.

Hempstead Avenue was closed for a short time in both directions between Bedell Terrace and Sycamore Street while the accident was cleared.
