Police: HSBC Bank Robbed

Subject was not armed but made off with $900, Lynbrook officers say.

on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook was robbed on Thursday afternoon, village police reported.

According to police, an unknown subject entered the bank at about 3:55 p.m., his face covered by a black stocking. Police said the unarmed subject demanded money before reaching over the glass partition at a teller window and stealing $900 in cash. The subject then ran out of the bank and fled southbound on Atlantic Avenue.

Police described the subject as a male white, 5'6" tall, 150 pounds, and dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt with red markings.
