Pre-K Students Write Christmas Greetings For Wounded Warriors

The Christmas cards and greetings will be leaving for hospitals in Camp Lejuene and Fort Bragg on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

For the past month, the sponsored a Christmas card writing campaign for the wounded soldiers in Walter Reed/Bethesda Hospital, and hospitals in Camp Lejuene and Fort Bragg, as part of Operation Wounded Warrior.

Lynbrook firefighters will be joining other Nassau County firefighters this week in distributing these Christmas cards and greetings, along with Christmas gifts bought through donations and fundraisers during this past year.

Three caravans of fire vehicles, dubbed the Long Red Line, will be leaving for these hospitals starting on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

In the above photo, the Pre-K students at in Lynbrook wrote Christmas cards and greetings to those wounded warriors. The cards were accepted by Ex-Captain Steve Grogan, who chaired the Christmas card campaign, and First Assistant Chief Anthony DeCarlo.

Students from in East Rockaway also wrote Christmas cards and greetings and they too will be given personally to the wounded warriors by Nassau firefighters.
