Storm Sends Tree Crashing Onto West Hempstead Home

Lakeview firefighters respond to house on Taylor Road.

Tuesday's fierce storm pulled down tree limbs and led to multiple power outages in Malverne, West Hempstead and Lynbrook.

The Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department responded to this home (pictured above) on Taylor Road in West Hempstead after strong winds caused a nearby tree to snap, sending it crashing onto the house. No one was injured.
