Street Closures for Malverne Lighting

These blocks will be closed off to traffic and no parking will be permitted from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

The village of Malverne will spring to life on Saturday as residents stroll around town, hop aboard a horse carriage and enjoy the many other attractions of the .

However, this will also mean that Hempstead Avenue and surrounding streets will be closed off to cars for most of the latter part of the day.

Hempstead Avenue will blocked off, from Park Boulevard to Malverne Avenue, from 3 p .m. to 10 p.m., as will Church Street, from Hempstead Avenue to Weber Avenue.

The only vehicles making it down St. Thomas Place, Linder Place, Nassau Avenue and Norwood Avenue during this time will be those pulled by horse, as this is where the carriage rides will take place.
