Three Arrested in West Hempstead Robbery
Cops say the subjects stole cash from a 20-year-old man outside a local restaurant.
Arrests have been made in a robbery that occurred in West Hempstead early Saturday morning.
According to the Nassau County Police, the three subjects now custody - Abraham Santiago, 20, of Uniondale and Melvin Yuliani Valle, 20, and Ariel Mendoza 19, both of Hempstead - allegedly robbed a 20-year-old man on Hempstead Turnpike.
Th detectives report that the three approached their victim around 2 a.m. on May 7 outside El Catracho Restaurant & Bar and demanded money. The victim complied and the three allegedly fled on foot eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike.

Cops say no one was injured and that no weapon was presented. They soon stopped the three subjects on the corner of Hempstead Avenue and Front Street, and recovered $27 cash that the police say had been stolen from the victim..
The subjects were arrested and charged with Robbery Second Degree.They will be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
