Two Armed Suspects Rob East Rockaway Bank

Both suspects fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The Chase Bank in East Rockaway was robbed Monday evening by two men armed with handguns.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 6 p.m., two black male suspects, both armed with handguns, entered the Chase Bank located at 111 Main St. in East Rockaway. The suspects confronted employees and demanded money.

After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspects fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Three employees were present at the time and no injuries were reported.

The first suspect is described as being approximately 30 years old, 6 feet tall, medium build, dark complexion, wearing a FedEx uniform, a dark-colored baseball style cap and sunglasses.

The second suspect is described as being approximately 35 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall, stocky build, dark complexion, wearing a flat Kangol type cap and a dark-colored suit with a dark-colored tie. 

Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls are confidential and all callers will remain anonymous.
