Two Arrested on Prostitution Charges at West Hempstead Motel

Incidents occurred within 20 minutes of each other.

Prostitution arrests continue in West Hempstead as two women were arrested after allegedly offering sex acts to undercover police officers at a West Hempstead motel Thursday night.

According to Nassau County detectives, on March 21 at 9:53 p.m. while in a local motel, Melissa Matthews, 20, of Hempstead, offered to engage in sexual relations with an undercover detective for an agreed upon amount of money.

At 10:15 p.m., while at the same motel, Pandora Patton-Mathews, 29, of Baton Rouge, La., also offered to engage in sexual relations with an undercover detective for an agreed upon amount of money.

Both defendants are being charged with prostitution and were arraigned on Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.

@D Dee: The Courtesy is no longer in existence. While police did not specify which motel it was, the only one in West Hempstead is the Capri Motor Inn on Hempstead Turnpike: http://malverne-lynbrook.patch.com/listings/capri-motor-inn

That’s very nice that school districts that have the highest school taxes and costs, areRead More receiving additional money. The problem is that our state is in dire financial trouble and we can’t afford it. Upstate NY is a distressed disaster. How much more taxes are we going to pay?. Hear those feet marching out of state. Try fighting for drilling so we have jobs and revenue.

.......there they go again whitewashing a dilemma they don't want to touch......unconscionableRead More salaries and pensions paid by the taxpayer for incompetence? Not to mention 13 week vacations as well as numerous 1/2 days and weather shortened days. A $50000 band aid we end up paying indirectly anyway only increases taxes further down the road. They are either that stupid or they think we are!
